Location: Probably near Hopkinton, MA, United States.
Nancy Andrews of Hopkinton, (Massachusetts, we suppose) in a brief communication refers to the closing scene in the earthly-life of Fanny Smith, a young lady on whose fair cheek the roses of fifteen summers had bloomed and faded. Our correspondent says, Fanny retained the full possession and free exercise of all her faculties to the last. We copy from the letter before us:
As Fanny lay panting for breath she seemed to be in a state of ecstacy; she reached forward to grasp what she beheld, exclaiming, ‘I see my mother, I know I do,’ and immediately expired. Her mother had been in the Spirit World several years. Since the departure of Fanny both Spirits have often visited that house and made communication by rapping and writing.
